Beyond Paris is an independent editorial project written for travellers who want to see more of France than the capital — without a car, without much time, and without needing to speak French. We publish destination guides, planning articles and practical travel information for towns and villages within reach of Paris.

Our editorial approach

We aim to keep every destination page accurate and useful. Travel times, transport options and coordinates are checked against official timetables and mapping services where possible, and pages are marked as verified once we have confirmed the details. Where we haven't yet been able to verify a detail, we say so rather than guess.

How we verify information

Our process is straightforward: we cross-check travel times and transport modes against public timetable and routing sources, confirm coordinates against mapping data, and revisit pages periodically to keep details current. Verification badges on a destination page reflect the latest check we have done — they are not a guarantee that nothing has changed since.
