Prague Castle, Guided and Skip-the-Line

Two and a half hours with a local guide and admission included, fast-tracked past the ticket lines into St Vitus Cathedral, the Old Royal Palace and Golden Lane. Around 50 euro per person. The castle is the sight where a guide earns their fee - without one, it is a sequence of beautiful rooms with very little explanation.

Buying only the castle ticket, without a guide? The castle's only official online sales channel also runs through GetYourGuide; everything else is a reseller.

Old Town and Jewish Quarter Walking Tour

An hour and a half through the Old Town's lanes and the Jewish Quarter's synagogues, exteriors and stories - around 19 euro per person, which makes it the cheapest hour and a half of context you will buy in Prague. To go inside the sites, add the Jewish Museum's combined ticket afterwards.

A Food Tour That Earns Its Dinner

Four hours of walking, eating and drinking through Prague's food culture - five tasting stops, from pub classics to the craft-brewing scene, ending with enough food to replace dinner. From roughly 150 euro per person; one of the highest-rated food tours in Europe.

A Beer Tour, Because This Is Bohemia

Three and a quarter hours through three working microbreweries with a minimum of nine tastings and Czech appetizers along the way, from about 94 euro per person. If the food tour teaches you what Czechs eat, this teaches you why they are so smug about what they drink - and they are right to be.

An Evening on the Vltava

A fifty-minute sightseeing cruise as the riverfront lights come on, from about 20 euro with skip-the-line boarding and an audio guide. Prague from the water is a different city - the castle stacked above the bridges - and it is the gentlest possible end to a day on cobbles.

Terezín, Half a Day

About five hours with transport and entrance fees included, from around 70 euro per person. One honest note from the reviews: the group Terezín tours rate lower than every other tour on this page - the site deserves better than a rushed schedule. If you have the time, the independent option is calmer and cheaper: the number 413 bus from Letňany, and the 310 CZK memorial ticket. If you would rather have someone handle the logistics, this is the one.
